Mercedes-Benz Service History FAQs

What is the Mercedes-Benz Digital Service Booklet?

It is Mercedes-Benz’s online record of maintenance. After a service, the workshop enters the data in a central database and can print a Digital Service Report. Mercedes-Benz says that replaces the entry in a traditional booklet. The database is not a public search page, so a buyer still needs a repairer, or Mercedes me, to read it.

Which Mercedes-Benz cars had to use online records?

Most passenger cars from June or July 2008. The E-Class and CLS are covered from September 2007, and the SL and SLK from March 2008. The G-Class, SLR and Maybach sit outside that mandatory list. Earlier cars can still depend on a paper booklet, so ask the repairer which file the car in front of you uses.

Can an independent workshop update Mercedes service records?

Yes, if Mercedes-Benz has approved that workshop. An independent workshop that can service Mercedes-Benz vehicles to the manufacturer’s specification can request Digital Service Booklet access through B2B Connect. Access is not automatic. A garage without it can still do the work, but that work is not in the booklet unless someone with access records it. Ask before you book.

Can I see Mercedes service data in Mercedes me?

Owners can view service data in Mercedes me. That owner view is not a promise that every independent invoice is listed. An authorised repairer can read the Digital Service Booklet and provide the held record if a printed Digital Service Report has been lost. This page does not sign you into Mercedes me.

How can I recover a missing Mercedes-Benz service record?

Ask a Mercedes-Benz authorised repairer for the data held on the car. Mercedes-Benz says a repairer can provide that record if a printed report has been lost. Work done by a garage without Digital Service Booklet access is not copied in automatically, so collect those invoices too. A missing line can be outside work, a lost report, or a skipped visit.

Can I check Mercedes-Benz service history by registration?

Yes. This UK page uses the registration and does not search by VIN. A Mercedes-Benz authorised repairer may still want the VIN from the V5C or the windscreen if the plate has changed. A private plate does not start a new service record. The registration check is not the manufacturer’s own login.

What can VehicleScore show for a Mercedes-Benz?

VehicleScore cannot guarantee a complete service history for a Mercedes-Benz. When a data provider has supplied them, a report can show service dates, mileage, the provider and a short description of the work. A report with no service records does not prove the vehicle was never serviced. Model guides: C-Class and the E-Class.
