What every Hidden History report includes
These are the sections and fields on the paid report — the same layout as a completed Hidden History check. A field only appears when the data provider returns it for that registration.
Outstanding finance
Whether a consumer or dealer finance agreement is still recorded. When the provider returns them: finance company, agreement type (HP, PCP and similar), reference number, term and start date.
Insurance write-off
Write-off category (Cat A, B, S or N) when recorded, plus loss date, cause of damage, theft indicator and insurer details when those fields come back.
Stolen records
Current stolen status and past theft records, including police force, report dates and contact details when present.
Salvage auction history
Salvage lots linked to the vehicle: category or lot description, auction date and location, primary and secondary damage, mileage at the lot, and auction references.
Salvage images
Third-party auction photos where we hold them, so you can see damage before you buy.
Plate history
Previous registrations and transfer dates when a plate change is recorded.
Colour changes
Previous recorded colours if the vehicle has changed colour.
Keepers and first registration
Previous keeper count, last keeper-change date and first registration date.
Import and export
Whether the vehicle is recorded as imported or exported.
Ex-taxi
Taxi or private-hire markers, including licence and authority details when recorded.
Scrapped and destroyed
Scrapped status and whether a certificate of destruction has been issued.
High-risk markers
Interest or high-risk flags, with type and dates when the provider returns them.
Mileage records
MOT mileage readings over time, plus rollback or discrepancy notes when the figures do not line up.
MOT history
Pass and fail history, advisories and an MOT history score. The free VehicleScore already shows the MOT timeline; the paid report keeps it next to the risk records.
VIN confirmation
The vehicle identification number from the report, with a check against the plate you searched.
Market valuation
An eight-point valuation when available: retail, trade, private and auction figures.
VehicleScore breakdown
How the paid data adjusts the free score out of 999 — including impacts from finance, damage, mileage and usage.
£10,000 data guarantee
If guaranteed data points such as finance, write-off or theft in the report are incorrect, you are covered up to £10,000.

What is a Hidden History pack?
A pack is a set of paid Hidden History checks you can use on different cars. Credits stay in your account for 12 months from purchase.
You do not need a registration to buy a pack. Enter each plate when you are ready to run a check.
What does each check include?
Every credit unlocks the same full Hidden History report: outstanding finance, write-off category, stolen records, salvage history and images where we hold them, plate and colour changes, keepers, import or export flags, VIN confirmation, market valuation, and the £10,000 data guarantee where that cover is included.
Not every field appears on every vehicle. The report only shows data the providers return for that registration.
Who should buy a buyer pack?
Private buyers comparing more than one used car. The 3-check pack is the usual choice if you are shortlisting. The 5-check pack is for a longer search.
If you only need one car, buy a single check instead.
Who should buy a dealer or trade pack?
Dealers, traders and anyone checking stock or lots of cars. Trade packs are priced with VAT shown separately per car.
The 50-check pack is the lowest per-car trade price.
How do I use a check after I buy?
After payment, credits are attached to your account. Open a vehicle from the score page or redeem a check against a registration. Each credit produces one full Hidden History report.
